Roxi was born on August 25, 2004 and we went and picked her out on October 16, 2006.  Since she was a winter pup, we
worked her mainly inside on her commands and socialized her with children that my daughter Michelle would baby sit.  The
problem was water it was to cold to train outside so I decided to train her in the roman bathtub we had at our house.  That
became a daily routine but she loved it and so she was taught to retrieve in the bathtub until the late spring when she had her
first experience with the big water at Chatfield in Littleton Colorado.  She loves to swim, retrieve and get her birds, she aims to
please.

I entered Roxi in her first test in NAHRA in May 2005 she did such a great job with her retrieves and got her first pass for
started.  We thought she would be ready for her first AKC Hunt Test so she was entered in the Colorado Women’s Retriever
Club Hunt Test June 24, 2005.  We got our first leg for her Junior Title and were so excited.  Again we entered her in a NAHRA
test in July of 2005, it was the hottest weekend of the year ranging around 100+ degrees each day, she managed to get two
more passes that weekend towards her started title.  In August we entered her again in the Colorado Foothills Retriever Club
test for Junior, again a great pass on her part.  She has become an excellent marker and fast at getting her bird and bringing it
back.  In September we ran Roxi again but she had some issues at the line because she was so anxious to get to her bird that
she did not pass that test.  Back to the drawing board, to get her not to be so anxious that she cannot sit still to retrieve.  The
end of September 2005 we finished our NAHRA title for Started Retriever and qualified Roxi for the Regional NAHRA to be held
in Hotchkiss, Colorado on May 20th, 2006.  We had obtained her first title and now still needed to complete her second title in
AKC for Junior.  So off to New Mexico, Roxi was entered to complete her last two legs of her Junior tests.  The weather was not
cooperating with howling winds and white caps on the lake.  Needless to say we managed to make it happen and got our title
on Sunday October 30th, 2005.

This new year 2006 has been mainly training, it is a big jump from Junior to the Senior level and we wanted to make sure we
did everything right as far as training and making sure Roxi learned all the fundamentals. Roxi has a natural instinct for
retrieving she is focused on retrieving.  We started on three handed casting, moved to backs, force to the pile, the single tee
and then the double tee.  Water force is still on the list but we hope to see Roxi make the step to getting her Senior title in 2007
for AKC as well as Intermediate in NAHRA.

We decided to breed Roxi in March and she whelped her litter of pups on May 7, 2007 seven beautiful puppies.  Now we are
back to start training again so look for us in the circuit.

Spring of 2008:
We are back training and working hard a learning our casts and what blinds are all about.  We have the opportunity to train with
lots of our friends which makes the learning process easier for all of us.

Roxi received her Canine Good Citizen certificate from AKC in March 2008.

Roxi just received her first Senior Pass at the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Denver Hunt Test at Stillroven Farms on
August 10, 2008.

I bred Roxi in 2009 and she whelped on July 10, 2009, we kept a yellow and all the rest went to wonderful homes.  We are
looking forward to finishing Roxi's Senior title this year (2011) and hope to maybe have one more litter in the late summer - we
will keep you posted.
