Sage was with us for a couple of years after she had some issues during her training period, she just needed to mature a bit
more.  Michelle and I worked hard with her over the past couple of years, she did an excellent job and got her Junior Hunt Title  in
only 4 out of 4 tries, she also got a started pass at NAHRA (North American Hunting Retriever Association)  she would have
finished her title easily but the club folded and we no longer had the opportunity to complete this in our area.  She is a remarkable
dog, smart, fast and eager to please.  We wanted her to be able to do the things she was born to do and made the decision to sell
her and give her the opportunity to hunt.  She is doing just that!
Sage has left us and went to a new home in Trinidad, she is owned now by Jason Palmer and is having the time of her life on 35
acres with 2 ponds.  She went on her first hunt this past weekend and this is what Jason wrote:

"Sage has been out a total of 3 times since last week now and she is doing a great job! The 1st two trips were dove hunting and
she did very well, considering the heat and the length of the grass we were hunting in...She made some great retrieves and really
seemed to enjoy herself.

I took her on her 1st waterfowl hunt yesterday.....she SMOKED it!!!  We hunted early season teal out near Ramah and it gave her
the chance to make several water retrieves and 2 retrieves on land....both water retrieves we great, the land retrieves were
awesome...she chased down a crippled teal that I am pretty sure we would have never found....it had landed a good
100+ yards from where we were hunting in some tall grass...I was looking for it a good 50 yards from where it actually was, Sage
caught its scent, chased it down, and came jogging back to me with the bird in her mouth, I swear she was grinning!!!!"
